CROSSING FRONTIERS • Stabicraft’s 2050 Frontier is one of three models in the company’s new 2050 range. Aimed squarely at sportfishers, the Frontier is available in Adventure, Sportfish and Profish versions. Over six metres long, this large centre-console model is offered with a range of factory layouts and a mind-boggling array of configuration options.
FLOCKING TO HISTORY • Our Up the Creek adventure took us into history, to a place most photographed though not always as well known.
Racing for wine • February 14 saw the 2025 running of the WineWorks Marlborough Wine Race, organised by Waikawa Boating Club and co-sponsored by Liquid Action and Interpack.

SUPERIOR SERVICE • Based at Hobsonville Marina and now boasting three brand-new, all-tide service berths accommodating vessels up to 24m (80 feet), Motor Yacht Service Centre (MYSC) offers a full range of services to luxury motor yacht owners, including annual maintenance, refits and upgrades, and motor yacht sales.
KOKORU A PHOENIX FROM THE ASHES • Some boats are just born lucky. Kokoru is one of those boats. Designed and built in 1960 by legendary Picton boatbuilder Jack Morgan, she spent most of her life in and around the Wellington/Picton area. In a region renowned for strong winds, big seas, and swift currents, Kokoru led a charmed life even on chaotic days, such as helping rescue two of Wahine’s lifeboats in 1968.
Making dreams come true • Marlborough Sounds maritime legend Grant Orchard has put his fleet of ‘K Boats’ into service supporting Oceans Seven swimmers.
Tight sailing for Etchells Cup • Following on from last year’s successful one-day regatta, the Bonus Contractors Bay of Islands Etchells Cup, now a two-day event, took place over the weekend of 8–9 March. Sailed directly in front of the picturesque Russell Township with its natural amphitheatre, the regatta gave locals and sailing enthusiasts a great view of the action.

How did we get here? • Kiwi sailors can be found all over the globe, cruising the world’s oceans and enjoying...
